Batch Time & Pay Entry

The new ‘Batch Time & Pay Entry’ screen provides a perfect balance of speed and accuracy by enabling you to enter timesheets quickly - all on one screen - and having the ability to verify that figures are accurate before saving.
If you process payroll for a large number of employees or import timesheets from clock-card systems or spreadsheets this feature will provide substantial improvements to your payroll processing

 

Holiday Management

Holiday Management
The holiday management feature, introduced initially at the end of 2006, simplifies holiday entitlement calculations and tracking based on time worked and holidays taken and is flexible enough to suit a variety of accrual methods. It supports the following methods of tracking entitlements:

• One third of a working week per calendar month
• As a percentage of the hours worked
• Standard Holiday Entitlement for the holiday year


1. Apply company holiday settings to all employees
With Micropay Professional you can now apply company holiday settings to all employees at the touch of a button.

2. Calculate holiday pay in hours
You now have the option to calculate employee holiday pay based on a number of hours worked.


Process and File Construction Workers' Pensions
Micropay Professional now holds standard settings for the CWPS (Construction Workers Pension Scheme) which can be assigned to individual employees to enable calculation of their pension. If you are currently processing the CWPS manually you will find this feature a great time saving when setting up the scheme, keeping the rates up-to-date and creating the pension file.


Module for Processing your Quarterly CSO Report
From January 2008 the CSO require all companies with >20 employees to start compiling data for the Quarter Earnings, Hours & Employment Costs Survey (EHECS). As such Sage have developed a module that caters for the categorisations of hours and employees that are required by the CSO. While this information is not directly related to the processing of payroll, because it requires information such as the type and amount of hours worked by employees, you may find that the payroll processor is given this report to complete.


Each quarter this task could take days and even weeks to complete. By providing the ability to categorise employees and record their hours as required by the CSO, Sage have joined the payroll processing and survey tasks into one smooth operation saving substantial time and frustration for payroll
